Automotive Industry Development Centre

The AIDC works in partnership with business, Local, Provincial and National Government, Tertiary and Further Education Institutions and other national and international organisations to provide technical services to the automotive industry across all tiers of suppliers and assemblers.

Automotive Industry Export Council (AIEC)

The Automotive Industry Export Council (AIEC) was established in 1999 as the official private sector export promotion body for the automotive industry in South Africa. Products addressed include passenger cars, trucks and buses, original equipment components, aftermarket parts and accessories.

Independent Dealer Association

The Independent Dealer Association (IDA) was established in October 1998, with the official membership drive being launched in November of the same year.
Our aim is to keep our members abreast of industry trends, legislation changes and developments thus enabling improved business decision making.

MERSETA - Sector Education & Training Authorities

The MERSETA is one of 23 Sector Education & Training Authorities (SETAs) established in SA in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998.
The 23 SETAs broadly reflect different sectors of the SA economy. The MERSETA is the SETA for Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services, covering the metal and engineering, auto manufacturing, motor retail and components, new tyre and plastics industries.

MIBCO - Motor Industry Bargaining Council

MIBCO is a Bargaining Council as envisaged in the Act whose mission is to create and maintain industrial peace and stability in the Motor Industry. It provides the following services to approximately 14 000 Employers and 182 000 Employees throughout the RSA.

Motor Industry Ombudsman or MIO

The Motor Industry Ombudsman or MIO is a totally independent institution that focuses on the resolution of disputes where a deadlock has been reached between the motor and related industries and their customers. The Motor Industry Ombudsman therefore strives to contribute to the continuous improvement of customer care in the motor industry to the benefit of all parties concerned.

National Association of Automotive Component & Allied Manufacturers

National Automobile Dealers' Association(NADA)

The National Automobile Dealers' Association is a professional body representing the interests of businessmen who own/operate new vehicle franchise motor dealerships and qualifying used car only outlets in South Africa, It is dynamically committed toward the enhancement of the image of the retail motor business; facilitating the interface between dealers and the motor manufacturers who supply them; building rewarding relationships between dealers and their customers; and bringing relevant issues facing its members to the attention of government at all levels.
